This Privacy Policy explains what the Astro Dienst application (the "Service") does with personal data, and what rights you have over it.
The data controller responsible for personal data under this Policy is Stepan Soroka (contact: info@astro.app). Terms not defined here have the meaning given in our Terms and Conditions.
To calculate a natal chart the Service needs a person's date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth, plus a name or nickname used as a label and a sex value used in the chart calculation.
Astro Dienst is a group game, so you may enter birth details for other players. Those details are personal data about those people. They are stored on your device only, are never linked to an account, and are never shared with other users or published anywhere. You are responsible for only entering another person's details with their agreement — see section 4 of our Terms.
Questions you type to the AI astrologer, together with the relevant chart data, are sent to our service to generate a response.
Standard technical information is processed when the app contacts our servers: IP address, device type, operating system version, and diagnostic information about errors. We may also receive crash and performance diagnostics provided by Apple and Google.
Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time by contacting info@astro.app. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out.
We use the following providers to deliver the Service. They process data only to perform their function for us, under contractual confidentiality and data protection obligations.
Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
Data on your device is kept until you remove a player, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app. Data processed on our servers is retained only as long as needed to fulfil the request and to maintain abuse-prevention counters, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, to withdraw consent, to data portability, and to complain to a supervisory authority.
Because most data is held on your device and is not linked to an account, the fastest way to exercise deletion is to remove players in the app or uninstall it — see Delete My Data. For anything else, contact info@astro.app. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
If someone else entered your details: the data is on their device, so ask them to remove you from the app. If you believe data about you is held by us, contact us and we will help.
The Service is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly process data from children. If you believe a child's data has been entered, contact us and we will advise on removal.
Data on the device is held in the app's private storage, with tokens kept in the platform's secure keystore. Traffic to our service is encrypted in transit. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If a data breach affecting personal data occurs, we will notify affected individuals and the relevant supervisory authority without undue delay, as required by applicable law.
We may update this Policy. Changes are posted here with a revised effective date, and material changes will additionally be notified in the app.
